My heart aches for these teenage girls. Read the article and view pictures from a former TWU student who has seen first-hand and describes some of the sights that are still so vivid in my mind from just spending 4 weeks in India just over a year ago. I was never anywhere near this city, nor did I see the places where these events were taking place; even so, as I read this reflecting on my experience, I have to wonder if some of the faces I came across had ever shared the experiences of these girls. The pictures the writer and photographer displays and depicts in his writing are so familiar, the sights, sounds and colors, even the rat-all a distant memory that stirs up emotions and longing in my heart for the Indian nation.
Praise the Lord for His work in the lives of these young women! Pray with me for continued healing and redemption for these girls as they deal with the aftermath and long-term consequences of what has been done to them. LORD, if it pleases You, send me! see http://www.twu.ca/sites/magazine/no-17/features/default.html. If you have trouble finding the article, it is titled BOMBAY TRAFFIC.
